Equine Lifetime Achievement Award
To honor our equines that have competed at Spartanburg Horseman's Association shows throughout the years who deserves special recognition

Pleasure In A Bottle
Jose was an outstanding equine who showed in Western Pleasure, Ranch and English classes with Spartanburg Horseman's Association for more than 10 years. Owned by Ms. Judy Schlager for most of those years and then Andy Jewell, he was hard to beat, always tried his best and was loved by all!

Skyline Firedance
The 2025 recipient has competed in almost every style of English riding, and has shown with SHA for several years. He proudly carried around numerous students through many shows, including several costume contests which he seemed to enjoy as much as the kids. In addition to his show career, he spends his days as Clover Hill’s “yard horse” and helps teach multiple lessons per week. Anytime the trailer opens he loads himself and is ready to go; many times before the halter goes on. In the show ring he excelled in many classes over the years including the ground poles walk trot champion, hunter over fences 2’3”-2’6” champion, crossrails champion, and many more. This 33 year old Thoroughbred, Appaloosa cross is an athlete, lesson horse, teacher and show horse.
